Recently, residents in the Lehigh Valley have been learning about continuing care at home, a program that helps seniors age in place by delivering health and wellness solutions to their homes. This service is relatively new in the Valley, and until now, it has only been offered by Phoebe Ministries’ Pathstones. Now, more options have arrived for residents in the Allentown, Bethlehem and Easton areas who desire to remain in their homes for as long as possible.

The two organizations will work to enrich the quality of life for people in Lehigh Valley, PA. Both organizations have deep spiritual and cultural roots with legacies of great contributions in their respective communities.

Friends Life Care Partners President & CEO Carol Barbour explains, “Over 30 years ago, Friends Life Care was founded on the mission to serve older adults who wanted to age independently in their own homes. We did this by innovating a new approach to long-term care. With unwavering dedication to our Quaker values, we then built the organization to offering a full range of services older adults require for prevention, wellness and lifelong health care needs. Today with 10,000 Boomers retiring every single day, our commitment to this has expanded geographically. Through a partnership with Morningstar Living, we have brought Friends Life Care membership plans to the Lehigh Valley."

friendsMorningstar Living of Nazareth, PA began in 1988 when it opened its first Life Plan Community (CCRC) in Lehigh Valley, PA. Friends Life Care offers the first and largest continuing care at home program in the country. The Friends Life Care program provides a truly unique combination of care coordination and financial benefit needed to help ensure older adults have the resources and support they need to remain in their own homes as they age. If home care is ever needed, it is coordinated by Friends Life Care and provided by Morningstar Living’s trusted network of caregivers.

The collaboration of these organizations’ expertise and experience in care coordination and home care services allows Friends Life Care to offer a continuing care at home membership option to even more people through its partnership with Morningstar Living.
