Vicki Bezems, Lifestyles over 50
Vicki has a passion for writing and a tremendous compassion for older people. Having grown up with “older” parents (at least they were considered older parents in the 1950’s and 60’s), surrounded by elderly family members, she has always had a great love for the older generation. Her mom is 94 and going strong, and her grandmother lived to be 106.

Vicki has a husband and two teenagers. She tries to be involved with as many of her kids’ activities as possible, and has been a school volunteer and girl scout leader. She’s an advocate for food allergy awareness because of her experience with her children’s food allergies.
Vicki is determined to live as healthily as possible and considers exercise and good nutrition essential to quality of life. She does yoga and Pilates and is venturing into Zumba. She enjoys cooking, singing, and the outdoors. She sings with the praise team at her church, which she loves to serve. She also loves animals, particularly her miniature schnauzer, Spyro, and horses. Her childhood passion was riding, and she still savors the smell of a barn. Her favorite place is the mountains of North Carolina, where she grew up. She and her family spend time every year on LakeJames, near Asheville in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
