Prolink: Connecting Health and Senior Care Professionals
Network with Peers and Educate the Community
The Lehigh Valley Aging in Place Coalition (LVAIP) has been in existence for over 10 years. From the outset, the goal of the organization was to provide an opportunity for those who work with seniors the chance to meet with one another, network and better serve their clients. Additionally, their aim was also to go into the community and to educate seniors, families and caregivers.
LVAIP has attended hundreds of health fairs, employee fairs, spoke at senior groups and have distributed thousands of their resource guides. The guide is printed annually and categorizes members under their area of service or expertise so seniors can find product and services providers that they need.

Country Meadows of Forks looks more like a bustling social center than a traditional retirement community. Country Meadows Marketing Directors Sharon Dusky and Terry Weber are excited to see the new community come together.
Senior Living Communities Benefit from Senior Move Managers
Professionals working in marketing, admissions and administration at assisted living, personal care homes and senior living communities have challenging jobs. There is a delicate balancing act between keeping residents and families happy, marketing in the community and getting new residents moved in.
Senior Move Managers, like Senior Moves By Design, are valuable strategic partners to senior living communities as they support them in their vital functions. Some of the ways that Senior Move Managers help assisted living and personal care homes are:
Visiting Angels Reopen Lehigh Valley Franchises
National non-medical home care franchise Visiting Angels has had a presence in the Lehigh Valley since the mid 1990s. Their franchisees have come and gone, and now are back again -- with new energy. Two new offices opened in late 2015; one serving Lehigh County in Center Valley and the other Bethlehem office that services Northampton County.
The offices are separate and independently owned.
Interior Designers Create Community and Inspire Life
Local interior design firm, DesignPoint of Bethlehem, travels across the country to create great living spaces for senior living communities. They recently completed a project in Waukee, Iowa.
The first residents and visitors to Legacy Pointe at Waukee, Iowa would unanimously agree that it was a beautiful place. The senior living community consists of multiple buildings with varying levels of independent and assisted living services on approximately 15 suburban acres. The problem at Waukee in 2011 was not the aesthetic appeal of the facility, but a minor design flaw with a major impact on residents’ lives.
