The Stephens Family has proudly owned and operated the Stephens Funeral Home since 1941. Stanley S. Stephens, Sr. first invited his family, friends and neighbors into his home for funerals, providing the space and service to help them navigate some of life’s most challenging moments. In 1961, Stanley S. Stephens, Jr. joined his father in service to his community and lead the family funeral home until 2007. Matthew S. Stephens joined his father at the funeral home in 1988. In 1999, Rodney S. Koch, Stanley Jr.’s son-in-law joined the family funeral home. Sandra Lois Brink proudly joined the Stephens Funeral Home family in 2000. In 2007, Matthew S. Stephens assumed leadership and transformed the funeral home’s ability to serve the family of today. With the construction of the new funeral home on Krocks Road in 2015, Matthew and his staff have maintained the legacy of tradition, compassion and service started by his grandfather many years before. The Stephens Funeral Home family welcomed Anthony A. Richter to our staff in 2022. In June 2025, siblings Erin and Matthew Heintzelman joined the Funeral Home staff.
In June 2025, we were proud to announce the partnership and joining of two family-owned firms, each with a long-standing tradition of compassionate, professional care. We would now like to introduce the Heintzelman-Stephens Funeral Home, P.C.
For generations, the Heintzelman and Stephens families have served their communities with compassion, dignity and integrity. The next chapter being led by siblings, Erin and Matt Heintzelman and Rodney Koch as Supervisor – is a continuation of that legacy. With our dedicated staff remaining in place, we are committed to carrying forward the values instilled by those who came before us and ensuring that the future of these funeral homes remains strong, stable, and rooted in service for generations to come.
Together, our families hope to help your family share the story of your loved one, for we believe that a life well lived is a story worth sharing. We encourage you to reach out to any member of our staff with any questions you might have at 610.434.6304 or [email protected].
We invite you to join us for any of our upcoming Community Events with the Heintzelman-Stephens Funeral Home family that are held throughout the year.
